Camp La Junta: Photos from Spring 2026

Spring transforms Camp La Junta into something special. The Guadalupe River runs clear after winter rains. New growth covers the hills. Our campers return energized from winter break.

The Campus Comes Alive

Our Spring 2026 season marked our busiest in five years. Over 400 young people experienced the camp between March and May. Here’s a visual journey through the season:

The Guadalupe River

The river defines Camp La Junta. This spring’s water levels were ideal for canoeing and kayaking. Our instructors reported excellent conditions for all skill levels.

New cabins

Six cabins received renovation this winter. The pine paneling we installed creates a warm, rustic feel that reminds campers of traditional log camps.

Evening programs

The amphitheater hosted weekly campfires, talent shows, and our signature storytelling nights. These moments build the community that keeps campers returning year after year.

The Challenge Course

Spring brings new climbers to our challenge course. The wooden beam tower and rope courses push participants outside their comfort zones—in a safe, supportive environment.
